Areas of Focus
I work with kids (6+), teens, and adults, including:
Neurodivergent individuals (Autistic, ADHDers, PDAers, 2e, highly sensitive people)
Queer and questioning folks exploring gender and sexuality
People processing developmental, complex, or relational trauma
Those navigating identity, mood, or life transitions
Individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, burnout, or emotional dysregulation
Training & Approaches
Iβve been trained by AUsome, which centers Autistic voices and the social model of disability. That lens guides how I support neurodivergent kids, teens, and adults in building autonomy, self-trust, and regulation, always at your pace, and centering your truth.
When itβs a good fit, I use the NeuroBears curriculum, a visual tool created by and for neurodivergent folks, to help Autistic young people and their families explore identity, understand lived experiences, and discover support strategies that actually work.
Creative expression is also a big part of how I practice, whether that is through play, art, movement, music, games, whatever clicks for you. These outlets often help with connection, regulation, and making sense of things when words arenβt enough.
Overall, my approach is collaborative, flexible, and grounded in care that affirms who you are. I pull from a range of modalities to support each person's unique needs, always centering your voice, pace, and lived experience.
Affirming, strengths-based, person-centered, and trauma-informed foundation
Internal Family Systems (IFS) to gently explore parts of self and build understanding
DBT skills and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to support regulation, flexibility, and values-based living
Somatic and sensory-based tools to support nervous system regulation and a deeper sense of safety in the body
Education & Experience
I have a B.S. in Psychology and an M.A. in Clinical Psychology from Towson University, with a focus on family systems and trauma-informed care. Iβve worked in inpatient, IOP, and outpatient settings, places like Sheppard Pratt, Kennedy Krieger, and the Center for Child Protection at the University of Maryland, before moving into private practice. My work tends to center folks navigating trauma, anxiety, identity, neurodivergence, and big life shifts.
Iβm also a late-diagnosed ADHDer, which shows up in meaningful ways in how I practice. I know what itβs like to move through systems that werenβt built for you. That lived experience helps me show up with flexibility, empathy, and deep respect for how each person moves through the world. Iβm passionate about working with neurodivergent and LGBTQIA+ folks across the lifespan, especially those exploring identity or just wanting a space where they donβt have to explain the basics. My approach is non-pathologizing and affirming. I focus on fostering real and meaningful connection with clients. You donβt need to be anyone but yourself here.
Before becoming a therapist, I spent about seven years working as a hairdresser. I started as a shampoo tech and earned my cosmetology license through my high schoolβs career and tech program. That hands-on, visual work shaped how I learn, communicate, and connect with people, and I carry those skills into the therapy room every day.
Outside of Sessions
When Iβm not working, Iβm probably playing The Sims 4, drinking a matcha, or getting creative with coloring, painting, or messing around with a new hair idea. I love being out in the sun with my two dogs or looking for a new plant or LEGO set I definitely donβt need but canβt pass up.
