Trainings & Approaches.
As a classically trained musician and a sports and gaming enthusiast, Ryan integrates creative approaches including art, music, movement, sports, and games, to foster expression, strengthen connection, and support nervous system regulation. Ryan Offers Virtual Reality (VR) therapy to create immersive, tech-supported environments for relaxation, exposure, and practicing coping skills. He also provides affirming experiential therapy in the real world, including walk-and-talk sessions, on-location therapy, and support for specific phobias, to help clients engage with challenges and healing in a more embodied, real-life context.
Ryan also draws from Internal Family Systems (IFS) to help clients explore their internal world with compassion. This work supports emotional regulation, internal integration, and healing from a place of self-understanding.
Ryan offers affirming couples therapy grounded in Gottman Method Level 1 training. He supports partners in improving communication, navigating neurodivergentβneurotypical dynamics, healing relational ruptures, and moving through transitions with more connection. Sessions are inclusive, nonjudgmental, and tailored to meet the needs of both partners
Education & Experience
Ryan holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a Minor in Music and a Master of Science in Clinical Psychology, both from Loyola University of Maryland. Iβve had years of experience working in inpatient treatment centers, and outpatient private practice. With an emphasis in trauma-informed and neuro-affirming care, Heβs worked with complex trauma and PTSD, anxiety, depression, grief, neurodivergence, and adjustment related concerns. My career began with hands-on experience at Sheppard Pratt Health Systemβs Inpatient Child Unit, with additional shifts on the adolescent, adult, and occurring units.
Before becoming a therapist, I was a classically training cellist and experienced vocalist. I spent my time outside of classes singing in choirs, acappella, and playing in chamber ensemble. Creativity and artistic processing are some of my favorite ways to connect with clients and help them express themselves.
Outside of Sessions
You will find me watching basketball, playing video games or catching up with friends and family. I consider myself a coffee enthusiast and love watching the latest shows and reading mystery thrillers.
