Rates Overview

At Found Counseling, we believe therapy should be both effective and accessible. Our fee structure reflects our commitment to equitable care, personal agency, and sustainability.

  • We’re a self-pay practice. This means we don’t bill insurance directly. It allows us to tailor your care, protect your privacy, and spend more time focusing on you, not paperwork.

  • We believe in transparency, clarity, and care. Below you’ll find a breakdown of our rates, sliding scale options, and billing practices so you can make an informed decision about therapy with us.

  • We offer a limited number of sliding scale spots per therapist. Each provider reserves up to 10 reduced-fee spaces, which reflect tiers 2 and 3. If those are full, you can request to join our waitlist.

  • On a case-by-case basis, we offer a Pay What You Can rate for clients in financial hardship. This is arranged directly with your therapist.

Tier 1

$225–$250

Per Session

Set Rate

For clients with high financial flexibility and accessibility, this rate reflects the full cost of care and helps sustain the long-term health of our practice, allowing us to offer accessible options to others.

Tier 2

$125-$175

Per Session

Sustainable Rate

For clients with moderate to high financial flexibility, and in a position to commit to ongoing care in a way that feels sustainable and supportive, without creating financial hardship.

Tier 3

$40-$85

Per Session

Accessible Rate

For clients with limited income, financial strain, or systemic barriers, this option is offered at a more accessible rate to support consistent care in a way that feels managable and reduces financial pressure.

Out-of-Network Insurance

Found Counseling is an out-of-network (OON) provider, which means we don’t bill insurance directly. However, we’re happy to provide superbills you can submit for possible reimbursement.

To check your OON benefits, you could ask your insurance company:

  • Do I have out-of-network mental health coverage?

  • What CPT codes are covered (90834 for individual, 90847 for couples or families)?

  • What percentage of the fee is reimbursed?

  • What is my deductible and how much has been met?

We’ll help you understand this process during our intake session if you need support.

Let’s Talk About It

We strongly encourage clients to have a brief, intentional conversation with their therapist about fee selection before committing to a rate. This can give you:

  • Clarity on what your fee supports

  • Room to discuss needs or temporary flexibility

  • Support in navigating the Green Bottle model

You don’t need to prove financial need. We trust you to know what’s sustainable. We’re here to talk through it. Whether you’re ready to get started or just exploring, you’re welcome to reach out and ask.

Good Faith Estimate (GFE)

If you're not using insurance, you are entitled to a Good Faith Estimate under the No Surprises Act. This outlines the expected costs of services. You can request one anytime. Learn more at cms.gov/nosurprises
